Happy Equinox!

Happy Equinox!

What an exciting time of year! The equinox marks the time in the year where everything is most equal or closely in balance. The yin and yang energies are at a point of intersection in the spring and again in the fall.  Yesterday or today, you may have noticed an equal amount of daylight and darkness. From this point, the beginning of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere, the nights start to get longer and we start to prepare for the Winter Solstice. Winter is typically a time or hibernation and introspection so you may now find yourself less motivated to complete the projects that you were so focused on in the summer. Autumn holds the energy of celebration after all of the planning and doing that spring and summer offer. Fall is a particularly important time of year as we live in a society that is so focused on planning and doing, we often forget about the benefits of celebration. It is important to take time to recognize all that has been done in the last year and enjoy celebratory times with people that are special in our life.  So let’s start with celebrating the Equinox!

On a more personal note, life has been shifting in a huge way for me. I have been spending more time in Edmonton cherishing the moments of day to day life with my Beloved David.  As soon as I decided that I needed to follow my heart and allow myself to admit that I wanted more time with David, my house that had been for sale for what feels like an eternity, sold with an offer that aligned with the occupancy date for my condo at Kitchener City Centre. I’m looking forward to creating a work space there in the next few months and can’t wait to see how it will all unfold.

There are two more New Moons before that move happens so I will be offering a New Moon meditation on Thanksgiving Monday, Oct. 12 from 7 – 8:15 p.m. and again on the New Moon which happens to be on Wednesday November 11 from 7 – 8:15 p.m..  The theme for October will be focused on Gratitude and Opening Our Hearts to the Ones we Love and the theme in November will be on Remembering Both Self and Others. Clearly, both dates picked their own themes!

We will briefly look at the blocks to each topic and then create strategies to break those blocks down through the practice of meditation.  Registration is required for both meditations and the cost is $30 (HST included) for each session. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or etransfer.  To register, please email me at lindsay@livingalldimensions.com Please note that registration is limited to 10 people so register early to reserve your space.
